In this extended period of lockdown it can be difficult to keep the family entertained. Here are some new online resources to help break up the next 24 hours.  

Wildlife Webcams   

The Wildlife Trust have some great webcams Click here of wildlife on their website, (we have just been watching an Osprey in a nest in Rutland water).  Not only are there webcams but a whole host of ideas for children and families read more here, and a YouTube channel.  

Book Trust  

BookTrust, the UK’s largest reading charity are promoting a new digital hub for young families during lockdown. This FREE BookTrust resource is packed with books, videos, games, recipes, competitions, quizzes and much more read more here. From activity sheets to live draw-alongs, BookTrust HomeTime hosts an extraordinary menu of ideas created by leading children’s authors and illustrators, developed in response to the closure of schools in the UK, all designed to keep children entertained and most importantly ,get them reading throughout Covid-19.
